State Succession Succession in regard to Contracts Contract to Maintain a School.

In a case decided by the Czechoslovak Supreme Court on December 17, 1935, it was held that the Czechoslovak State, in so far as the obligations of the former Hungarian State were concerned, was not its legal successor, and was not bound by an obligation created by a private contract between the former Hungarian State and a parish, by which the State undertook to contribute to the costs of the maintenance of a school.
